A uniquely personal cabaret act about growing up backstage in Manhattan as the daughter of a successful songwriter. Susannah Blinkoff’s musical memoir features songs written by her mother, Carol Hall (THE BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE IN TEXAS, FREE TO BE…YOU & ME) as well as her own original pop-rock tunes (heard on MTV and in the films MY SUPER EX-GIRLFRIEND, BELLYFRUIT, and SUMMER ELEVEN). With an up-close and personal view of “Whorehouse” as it developed from workshop to long-running Broadway show to major Hollywood movie starring Dolly Parton and Burt Reynolds, Susannah experienced firsthand the privileges and pitfalls of being the daughter of an accomplished artist. Her one-woman musical bursts showbiz bubbles and celebrates her creative heritage. She's backed by a three-piece band whose members have toured with Rufus Wainwright and Lucinda Williams and the show is directed by veteran TV/film writer-producer Stan Zimmerman.
